Yıldız Günay joined Robert College in August 2024 as the Director of Institutional Advancement in charge of Alumni Relations, Development, and various Communications functions at Robert College. She completed her undergraduate education in Industrial Engineering at Boğaziçi University (1989) and her master's degree in the Economics Department of the same university (1992), started her career in 1990 at Citibank's Treasury Department, taking on commercial responsibilities for different asset groups and was promoted to the Head of Treasury Marketing Unit. In 1995, she joined Cargill and served as the Deputy General Manager, covering the responsibilities of financial trading units, corporate treasury, and financial operations. Subsequently, in 2004, she established the Cargill - Black River Asset Management Turkey office. Here, she served as the General Manager and a Member of the Cargill Turkey Board of Directors, and over time, her area of responsibility expanded to include Central Asia and African countries. Between September 2012 and August 2021, Yıldız Günay served as the General Manager of the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV), leading the institutionalization, digitalization, and enhancement of asset management of the foundation.
Yıldız Günay also serves as a Board Member at Tüpraş, Türk Traktör, and Ünlü Holding, and as a Trustee at KAÇUV.
