This year’s Literary Week at Robert College was a joyful celebration of literature and the power of storytelling. Organized by the İbrahim Bodur Library Team, two exhibitions stood out as memorable highlights, each offering a unique perspective on the world of books.
The first exhibition, the Turkish Book Covers Exhibition, presented a stunning collection of iconic book covers from Turkish literature. It was a visual exploration that invited viewers to appreciate the richness and diversity of Turkish literary culture.
The second exhibition, titled “Things You Forgot in Our Books,” offered a touching look at the items left behind in books over time: a photograph, a letter, a slip, or a personal note. Each item carried its own story, revealing glimpses of past readers and the memories they left behind in the pages of the books.
These exhibitions, along with other activities during Literary Week, encouraged the Robert College community to think on the stories that shape us, both through the books we read and the memories we carry with them.
