This past week marked the one-year anniversary of the passing of Cyrus Carter, a valuable member of the Robert College community since 2006. To honor his memory, a special gathering was held in the faculty lounge, where faculty, staff, and friends came together to remember the lasting impact he had on all who knew him.
Cyrus was much more than an English teacher; he was a mentor, a colleague, and a true friend. His passion for teaching, kindness, and unwavering support left a deep and lasting impression on both his students and peers. His influence continues to resonate within the halls of Robert College.
In his honor, at the close of the last academic year, we planted a magnolia tree on campus—a living tribute that will grow and bloom in his memory, symbolizing his enduring presence in our hearts and at Robert College. In addition, Carter’s beloved students, RC 15, RC 16 and RC 17 are raising a scholarship in his memory to support a student and pass his legacy to coming generations.
