Faruk Yöneyman was born in Kadıköy. He attended Bahariye Elementary School, followed by St. Joseph High School. He entered Robert College in 1963, and completed his studies in marketing. There he met Nihal Türeyen, who was also a student at Robert College. They got married in 1971 and had their only daughter, Merve in 1977.
Upon his return from military service he started working at the global-scale pharmaceutical company Hoffmann LaRoche, where he would later be promoted to CEO of Roche Turkey until his retirement, a total of 35 years. He was a solid leader as well as a loving husband, father and a kind-hearted human being. He served through countless acts for the health and welfare of people, as well as animals. He was an exceptional man of honor and grace. He is loved and missed beyond words.
