RA 65 and RC YÜK 69 graduate Ralf Arditti participated in the Vitality London 10K Run on May 2, 2022, and completed in 01:06:47, slightly better than his target of 70 minutes. Some 16,000 runners participated in the event which started at the Mall and finished right before Her Majesty’s residence. For the occasion, Arditti also launched a donation campaign with TEV (Türk Eğitim Vakfı), raising 75,000 TL to support the livelihoods of 11 university students.
Arditti is a regular runner, taking up the sport at the age of 35 when he quit smoking. Each week he covers around 10-15 km in two practice runs.
When asked what’s next, Arditti said, “Summer is approaching and I have to switch to arm strokes in open seas. My objective is to swim across the Dardanelles straits from Eceabat to Çanakkale in an international competition organized by the Rotary Club for Zafer Bayramı on August 30.”
