Dr. İbrahim Sözen has begun working at the Cleveland Clinic Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is the first Turkish physician in the department’s history. He was also the first Turkish physician accepted to and to graduate from the Yale School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program back in 1995-1999. He was American Board certified in 2003 and is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Cleveland Clinic, one of the top hospitals in the US, is a teaching institution where Sözen will also engage in medical student and ob/gyn resident teaching both in the clinic and in the operating room and labor and delivery floor. He has 15 scientific publications which have received 959 worldwide citations so far in the medical literature. He is also the author of the book titled Kadınlarda Vajinismus ve Ağrılı Cinsel İlişki Tedavisi published in 2019 by İstanbul Tip Kitabevleri.
