The awards acknowledged individuals from around the globe.
Campaign Global is a business magazine, covering advertising, media, marketing and commercial creativity that organizes the prestigious Agency of the Year Awards. The awards cover four continents, celebrating companies, leaders and work from numerous countries. The recipients for 2024 were announced in London in a first-ever live ceremony, and advertising agency TBWA’s Chief Strategy Officer Toygun Yılmazer received the Golden Award in Strategy Planning.
Many industry awards acknowledge creative excellence, reward effectiveness and celebrate talent, but the particular system of Campaign Global takes into consideration additional criteria, such as new business performance, thought-leadership, innovation, culture and values in order to arrive at the best all-round performers on the globe. These awards are judged exclusively by senior brand marketers, rather than by agencies.
Yılmazer believes his thinking, writing, speaking, and contribution to various fields, such as artificial intelligence, sustainability and marketing effectiveness contributed to this recognition: “My curiosity and versatility come from the Robert College culture. At RC, we worked on many different areas together, such as art, science, literature, philosophy, music, and cinema, which fostered a multi-faceted approach. I remember writing a text in my first year of high school where an entire family spoke to each other only in advertising slogans. It seems I had an interest in advertising even back then.”
