Lale Müldür RC 75 Continues Her Poetry Journey with Kadınesk

The poetry collection is accompanied by paintings by Ercan Arslan.

Lale Müldür’s latest, Kadınesk (Yapı Kredi Yayınları) is a poetry collection accompanied by paintings by Ercan Arslan. The poems were written in Ercan Arslan’s studio over many nights in the course of spring 2016.

Lale Müldür is one of the foremost Turkish poets, known for her deeply erudite and eccentric style. Her fascination with painting is not recent. Her well-known poetry book Yağmur Kızı Böyle Diyor (Rain Girl Says So, Noktürn Kitapları) featured poetry written for French artist Collette Dreble’s paintings. In her introduction to Kadınesk, Müldür states that she perceives poetry and painting as different media and that she felt like she was handing over music as she was writing these poems.
