Aydın Tlabar passed away in his Walnut Creek, CA home on January 1, 2023. He was 93 years old. An Istanbul gentleman with impeccable character and integrity, Aydın was loved and respected by his friends, business associates and all who knew him. He was a symbol of unselfish behavior, considerate and kind to all. Aydın graduated from Galatasaray High School, and from Robert College Engineering School as a civil engineer. As a senior partner in his Turkish company Aydın designed and oversaw the construction of numerous dams in Turkey, Asia and Argentina. His reputation as an expert in engineering and constructing water works was recognized and admired by the engineering communities of Turkey, Europe, Asia and the US.
He is survived by his wife Mine, his children, Zeynep, Mehmet Ali and Deniz, by grandsons Bora, Alp and granddaughter Nazlı Sienna.
