Isy Haas RC ENG 55

Isy (Izi) Haas passed away on June 24, 2023. After graduating from Robert College, Isy chose to attend Princeton to study under Einstein, who unfortunately passed away three months before he arrived. He worked at Fairchild Semiconductor in California where he helped invent the integrated circuit. His name is listed on over 20 US and international patents, including the first microchip which opened the door to all electronic devices that run our world today. After leaving Fairchild, he went on to consult for other major semiconductor companies, designing their circuits.

Isy, always humble, never talked about his career accomplishments but always said his greatest success was his family. We will remember him not only for his brilliant intellect but for his sharp wit, ability to fix anything, and kindness and generosity towards others. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Lynda and his three children.
