We hardly believed it when we heard of the loss of our dear classmate Kahraman Tovim. The funeral was held on January 15, 2023. Having a unique personality, he will be remembered for his humility, kindness, simplicity, smile and special jokes. He was good at mathematics and particularly skilled at chess. He could play chess without a chessboard and mentally dictate the moves during the class breaks. He was a well-known member of the Istanbul Chess Association. During our time at RC, he made many friends love chess and mathematics. After RC he studied physics at the University of Nebraska – Omaha and returned to Turkey in the 2010’s. His talents included classical music knowledge and playing guitar. His memory will live in our hearts. May his soul rest in peace.
