Mehmet Ergene passed away on April 5, 2023. He was an intellectual with a kind heart and was a dear friend. We both lived in Cihangir and we sometimes met on the road walking to Taksim to catch the bus to school. Mehmet and I also took part in the preparation of the 1960 Record.
After graduation, he studied at Harvard School of Architecture. He had an almost continuously smiling face. He was very much liked and admired by his class and the whole RC community. His friends described him as a Very JOLLY and a Very GOOD FELLOW!
Mehmet missed Turkey and especially Cihangir. He was very much interested in the politics of his home country. May he rest in peace.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his younger brother Ahmet and his nephew Can.
