Niyazi Dalyancı, the doyen of news agency journalists, died on March 25, 2023. He attended the English High School, then he came to RA where he was well accepted and greatly loved by classmates. Some even called him an “angel”. Although he studied economics at university, he decided to pursue journalism in which he excelled for decades. He was editor-in-chief at Türk Haber Ajansı (Turkish News Agency, and later became a journalism instructor at Bilgi University as well as a member of the Turkish Journalist Association Board.
A man of many achievements, he was also humble. He always retained the common touch and was always approachable by anybody, especially junior journalists and students. He was a mentor to many. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife Fatoş, his daughter Ayşe, his son İsmail, three grandchildren, and his brother Şinasi.
