Tuncer Özmen passed away on August 9, 2023. Tuncer entered College Prep with a scholarship. His close friend had said: “There is a guy called Ferdi Yüksel. If you are confronted with any problem, see him and give him my name. He’ll help.” One day at Study Hall a student was disturbing everyone by making a noise. Tuncer politely asked him to stop and an argument started. When Tuncer said, “I’m warning you, if you don’t stop I’ll report you to Ferdi Yüksel.”“Well..” said the other guy, “as a matter of fact, I happen to be Ferdi Yüksel!” During an exam, to tease the teacher nicknamed razor (ustura) Tuncer started to play with the razor in his pocket. When caught he was thrown out of class.
Tuncer, one of the most colorful characters of the class, was also a leader, pioneer, team captain, and an inquisitive person always running after his ideals. We will miss him.
