Ünver Boduroğlu passed away on January 18, 2023. Starting with “On my honor…” he would quote his dedication to the principles laid down for the scouts by Baden Powell, and he led his life in parallel with this. Ünver was the Scoutmaster of Troop 58 of RA was the editor-in-chief of the monthly Echo.
His buddies and friends called him, fondly, by his nickname, örümcek (spider), and devised numerous on-the-spot pranks all centered on örümcek, which he took with presumed anger, but in truth with unending tolerance and kindness he felt for his classmates.
Memories bring tears to my eyes in humor and then in sorrow realizing my tall and handsome friend is gone forever. His romantic trait is well remembered by his under-the-street light performance of “Chicky Chick Boom” in Yalova. Ünver is survived by his spouse Canan and his daughter Aslı.
