ROBERT COLLEGE PRIVACY NOTICE FOR FUNDRAISING ACTIVITIES
Within the scope of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law numbered 6698 (“the Law”), your personal data is processed by Robert College as described below.

1. 1. PURPOSES OF PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data is processed by Robert College within the scope of its fundraising activities and in line with Articles 5 and 6 of the Law.
1. 2. TRANSFER OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Within the scope of the aforementioned purposes and in line with Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, information on your identity, contact details and the amount of your donation may be transferred to the HM Revenue and Customs in the United Kingdom if you are taxpayer in the UK and in case of donation to RC UK Foundation which is established in the United Kingdom.
Within the scope of the aforementioned purposes and in line with Articles 8 and 9 of the Law, information on your identity, contact details and the amount of your donation may be transferred to the US Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in the USA if the amount of your donation exceeds $1000 in a given fiscal year.
In addition, information on your identity, the amount of your donation and graduating class may be published on the Honor Roll.
1. 3. THE METHOD AND THE LEGAL BASIS OF THE COLLECTION OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA
Your personal data is collected digitally via our online fundraising forms.
In line with Article 5 of the Law, your personal data is collected and processed based on the following legal basis: a) processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the data controller, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject, b) processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is party.
In line with Article 6 of the Law and within the scope of Article 2 of this Privacy Notice, your personal data may be transferred to data controllers abroad, based on your explicit consent.
1. 4. YOUR RIGHTS UNDER ARTICLE 11 OF THE LAW
As data subjects, you have the following rights under article 11 of the Law:
ï to be informed whether your personal data is processed by Robert College,
ï to request information about the processing of your personal data,
ï to be informed of the purposes of the processing of your personal data and whether your data is used for the intended purposes,
ï to request information about the third parties to whom your personal data is transferred abroad and in Turkey,
ï to request the rectification of the incomplete or inaccurate data, if any,
ï to request the erasure or destruction of your personal data under the conditions laid down in Article 7 of the Law,
ï to object to the results of the processing of your personal data where it is exclusively processed by automatic means,
ï to request compensation for the damages arising from the unlawful processing of your personal data.
