RC Hosts 15th Turkish Culture and Literature Symposium

RC’s Turkish Language and Literature Department organized the 15th Culture and Literature Symposium on March 7, 2020.

The theme of this year’s symposium was "As Long As Women Write". Prof. Dr. Jale Parla delivered the opening speech. Along with Prof. Parla, other guests at the morning session were Neslihan Cangöz, Senem Timuroğlu and Ezgi Hamzaçebi. The speakers at the afternoon session were Müge İplikçi, Sinem Sal and Figen Şakacı.

The Turkish department teachers said, “It has been a great pleasure for us to host these speakers at Robert College in a manner befitting the significance of International Women’s Day, celebrated on March 8." Following their individual talks, the guest speakers also answered questions by the attendees at the end of both sessions.
