Coinciding with the European Day of Languages, RC celebrated Languages Day on Thursday September 26. Students participated in a variety of events to promote the day of multilingualism.
There were brain teasers in Marble Hall, a bake sale to benefit the CIP Office, karaoke in the new Gould Commons area, a special multicultural menu during lunchtimes in the MKSC, and wonderful lunchtime concerts in the Faculty Parlor. This year, teachers also took the opportunity to teach or share phrases in languages that they know, and there was evidence of Chinese, Spanish, Japanese and other languages on the whiteboards around school.
The RC Foreign Languages Department very much appreciated bringing the importance of multilingualism and multiculturalism to the hearts and minds of our students.
