20 students from the RC Model United Nations club attended the online conference CHEMUN (India) on November 6-8, 2020, organized by the American International School in Chennai. There were 350 participants from over 20 countries, including Germany, Jordan, and India. Many interesting topics were discussed, including Covid-19, cybersecurity during quarantine, the situations in Hong Kong and Mexico, and sustainable food supply and consumption.
RC delegates were engaged in productive discussions about creative solutions to the turmoil we see today as well as elaborating on the challenges due to the rising inequality and discrimination around the world. The conference allowed students to build networks, and connect with the global community to discuss and tackle the world’s most pressing issues. The event equipped RC students with insight into current affairs and provided them with a secure environment to share their culture, opinions and experiences.
