Robert College celebrated the 96th Republic Day with a spirited ceremony that honored the nation and citizens of Turkey.
The ceremony began with speeches by the Turkish Director Nilhan Çetinyamaç and Head of School Adam Oliver. They were followed by a speech and a poetry reading delivered by students. The ceremony closed with an energetic Republic Concert by the music group Yeni Türkü.
As part of the Republican Week activities, Lise 11 and Lise 12 classes welcomed Prof. Mehmet Alkan from Istanbul University who spoke about the history of the republic.
