The RC Scuba Diving Club students celebrated the 19th May Commemoration of Atatürk and Youth and Sports Holiday by unfurling flags and posters underwater. At the end of the diving trip, 10 students were granted certificates and earned the title of one-star diver.
In the first semester of the 2018-2019 academic year, the RC Scuba Diving Club completed the 12-week long theory training for diving with equipment. They continued their open water training during a diving trip in Ayvalık on May 17-19. Thirteen students attended, and each performed four dives. One-on-one assisted dives were offered to those who found it challenging. The three students in the team who were already certified earned their advanced diving certificate after completing the check dive.
Club advisors Emre Fırat and Mahmut Akkaya, diving instructors Emre Aydın, Onur Serhadlı and Fatih Yeşilgül were personally involved in every step and spent great effort to make this trip productive and fun.
