Winners of Demirkan Aşetey Art Competition Are Announced

The winners of the 20th Annual Demirkan Aşetey RC 76 Art Competition were announced in an online ceremony on Friday April 30.

This year’s judges, following the tradition of past years, were all artists who are also RC graduates: İrem Kaneli RC 89, Hale Güngör Oppenheimer RC 00, and Gülşah Mürsaloğlu RC 08.

The winners were announced on the online ceremony with the participation of contestants, alumni from the Class of  ’76, the RC Art Department and RC faculty and staff. The ceremony was opened by the speeches of the art teachers, Alex Downs and Maria Sezer and also Adam Oliver, Head of School. The first prize went to a Lise 10 student for his piece called, “On God Complex and His Diet”, the second price to a a Lise 12 student, and third price award was given to a Lise 10 student for her piece called “Emotions All Over the Place”. 

RC would like to extend a very special thanks to RC 76 for their 20 years of continued support of student artists at school, through this event in memory of Demirkan Aşetey.
