JUNIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER 

(Remote / Part-time Intern for a year)

Candidates should have:

  • Bachelor's (Student) 3th or 4th grade Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in C# Language
  • Experience in ASP.NET MVC Frameworks
  • General knowledge about OOP
  • General knowledge about REST APIs
  • General knowledge about Cloud Systems
  • Eager to learn new technologies
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong analytical skills; well organized and structured, detail oriented

  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Able to track technical and analysis documents in English


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing software modules in accordance with the analysis
  • Implementing developer tests and necessary bug-fix operations on applications developed
  • Keeping the project management tool up-to-date
  • Working in coordination with the Software Architect on software development in accordance with corporate standards
  • Developing various solutions by researching different technologies that the projects may need
  • Preparing necessary documentation

COMPUTER SCIENCE TEACHER            

Robert College Science Department is seeking an outstanding Computer Science teacher to join the program.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Have at least a B.A. or B.S. degree in the content area to be taught and a recognized teaching certification from a state educational authority (PGCE suffices for UK applicants). Both the degree and teaching qualification are required for approval by the Turkish Ministry of Education.
  • Have at least five years of teaching experience, including the AP curriculum in a comparable secondary level setting.
  • Be committed to teaching a variety of learning styles and have an approach which enables students to develop their potential.
  • Be ready to play a full and active role in the continual development of high-quality teaching and learning.
  • Be committed to caring for student well-being in all its aspects.
  • Be able to work collaboratively and creatively with colleagues.
  • Be innovative in using new technology to enhance learning.
  • Be a collaborative planner, able to develop projects and resources across subject disciplines.
  • Have the ability and willingness to contribute to the extracurricular life of the school.

SOFTWARE DEVELOPER

Candidates should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a related field
  • Programming experience in C# Language
  • Programming experience in Microsoft .Net with ASP.NET, MVC and WCF Frameworks
  • Experience in at least one Source Control System (GitHub, TFS/Azure DevOps etc.)
  • Experience in relational database design and development
  • Experience in any Database Query Language (T-SQL etc.)
  • Experience in CSS
  • General knowledge about OOP
  • General knowledge about Microservice Frameworks
  • General knowledge about Web API
  • General knowledge about Cloud Systems
  • Eager to learn new technologies
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong analytical skills; well organized and structured, detail oriented
  • Result oriented and goal driven achievement with strong quality focus
  • Ability to successfully work under tight project deadlines
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Able to track and analyze technical documents in English
  • Experience in software development at education domain (preferred)
  • Fluent in speaking English (preferred)


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing software modules in accordance with the analysis work
  • Implementing unit tests, developer tests and necessary bug-fix operations on in-house developed applications
  • Implementing end-user and acceptance tests on out-sourced applications
  • Keeping the project management tool up to date
  • Carrying out change management process to deploy into test and production environments.
  • Working in coordination with software architects throughout software development phase in accordance with the set standards
  • Developing solutions by researching different technologies projects might need
  • Applying simple visual design on in-house developed applications
  • Preparing necessary project and product documentation

REGISTRAR / ACADEMIC DATA ANALYST

Candidates should have:

  • B.A / B.S Degree
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish
  • Have minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis preferably working in an academic environment
  • Competency in records and data management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps Suite
  • Have competency in effective communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving, organization & planning; strong in teamwork who also works well independently
  • Ability to work under pressure caused by multiple projects, deadlines, and busy periods
  • Preference in knowledge and ability to use ASC Timetables software; familiarity with MEB’s e-okul system


The position mainly involves;  

  • Preparing all academic schedules and programs
  • Ensuring the academic data entry are made correctly into the software programs
  • Interpreting, analyzing, checking, planning, and reporting of all the academic data 
  • Planning, coordinating, communicating, and creating a bridge between RC academic information and MEB’s e-okul system
  • Creating statistical and informative reports requested by the administration and academic departments by using database concepts and making projections for past and future academic trends
  • Supporting school community on e-school related issues in coordination with the Turkish Director’s office
  • Maintaining both physical and digital office filing systems
