ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

for Academic Affairs

Candidates should have:

  • University degree in Administrative Studies
  • Minimum 5 years of experience preferably at schools / multicultural environments
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict management, and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Must be extremely organized and detail-oriented, flexible thinker
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task with great follow-up skills
  • Superior judgment, professionalism, a pleasant warm demeanor and a thoughtful approach to administrative support in a team collaborative environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps

The position mainly involves; 

  • Provide administrative support to the Dean of Faculty and Dean of Curriculum including but not limited to, calendar management, communications and various correspondences with the official authorities
  • Ensure that the Academic Office operates effectively, efficiently, and professionally and perform general administrative assistant duties such as screening incoming calls, greeting and directing office visitors appropriately
  • Handle highly confidential matters and time sensitive documents
  • Deal with administrative problems and inquiries, as appropriate; serve as a primary point of contact and liaison between the office, students, and external constituencies on a range of day-to-day issues
  • Translate written documents and provide verbal translation as needed
  • Maintain strong communication between the Dean of Faculty, the Dean of Curriculum, faculty, staff, and students
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, reserve and setup facilities, transcribe meeting minutes and follow up on matters arising from meetings
  • Maintain both physical and digital office filing systems

REGISTRAR

Candidates should have:

  • B.A / B.S Degree
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Turkish
  • Have minimum 5 years of experience in data analysis preferably working in an academic environment
  • Competency in records and data management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Apps Suite; knowledge and ability to use ASC Timetables software; familiarity with MEB’s e-okul system
  • Have competency in effective communication and interpersonal skills, problem solving, organization & planning; strong in team work who also works well independently
  • Ability to work under pressure caused by multiple projects, deadlines, and busy periods


The position mainly involves:

  • Preparing all academic schedules and programs
  • Ensuring the academic data entry are made correctly into the software programs
  • Interpreting, analyzing, checking, planning and reporting of all the academic data
  • Planning, coordinating, communicating and creating a bridge between RC academic information and MEB’s e-okul system
  • Creating statistical and informative reports requested by the administration and academic departments by using database concepts and making projections for past and future academic trends
  • Supporting school community on e-school related issues in coordination with the Turkish Director’s office
  • Maintaining both physical and digital office filing systems

HEAD OF COMMUNICATIONS 

Job Requirements / Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or public relations (RC graduate preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in a comparable field
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Turkish and English, public speaking and presentation skills, and interpersonal and interview skills
  • Strong photography, design, writing and editing skills. Knowledge of specialty programs for design and video production a plus
  • Seeing the big picture without losing the attention to detail
  • Be able to lead and motivate groups, as well as work as part of a team
  • Flexibility, Poise, Enthusiasm, Collaborative attitude
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Sensitivity and understanding social nuance
  • Competence in technology, social media, and computer skills
  • Grace under pressure - maintain composure and calm demeanor when situations become difficult
  • Being able to take direction and respond to feedback effectively
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work collaboratively with all members of the school community

Preferred:

  • Understanding of all key stakeholders and constituents from prospective students and their families to alumni and Trustees
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Experience with Independent/Private Schools is a plus

Main duties and responsibilities; 

  • Supports the school in all areas of communication including public relations, marketing, branding, social media, digital, design, and crisis management
  • Is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive and dynamic communications strategy that enhances the international reputation of Robert College and keeps all constituents informed and engaged
  • Acts as a public representative of the school with various media outlets, government officials, trustees, alumni, and parents as the need arises
  • Maintain relationships with members of the local, state, national, and international media outlets
  • Oversee production of all school print, digital, and video publications, photography, design, and visual identity
  • Manage the school’s communications calendar and creative style guide;
  • Oversee the social media strategy, policies, and channels as well as web presence, official accounts and affiliated, to create value-added content, promote RC’s story, and expand RC audience;
  • Manage the Digital Communications Manager and mentor the other Communications related teammates
  • Compile and analyze communications data and metrics to ensure effective messaging is being received
  • Support internal communications efforts such as intranet content management, policy, and handbook maintenance
  • Report to the Director of Institutional Advancement with direct accountability to Head of School and Turkish Director
