MEASUREMENT, EVALUATION and TESTING SPECIALIST

Candidates should have:  

  • B.A / B.S Degree in Educational Measurement and Evaluation, Statistics, Mathematics and/or related area
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong analytical skills: well organized and structured, detail oriented for accuracy of data and information.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Enthusiasm for professional development.
  • Ability to effectively carry out oral and written directions in Turkish and English.
  • Have data management skills and knowledge of current and emerging trends in technologies, techniques, issues, and approaches in the area of expertise.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps Suite, and data analysis software.
  • Strong team-oriented skills whilst also able to work well with interdepartmental teams and initiatives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide ongoing support for assessment activities, assist with the analysis of assessment methods, results and report such results to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop statistical models and data analysis reports to measure impact of learning on student achievement of intended learning outcomes.
  • Collect and gather data for comparative analysis of the outcome of each program objective.
  • Co-ordinate and facilitate external exams such as Advanced Placement (AP) exams per the College Board national schedule and support the Academic Office in developing and implementation of a comprehensive database program for the purpose of institutional improvements in accordance with MEB and Robert College requirements.
  • Organize and supervise student exam registrations.

HEAD OF COMMUNICATIONS 

Job Requirements / Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or public relations (RC graduate preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience in a comparable field
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in Turkish and English, public speaking and presentation skills, and interpersonal and interview skills
  • Strong photography, design, writing and editing skills. Knowledge of specialty programs for design and video production a plus
  • Seeing the big picture without losing the attention to detail
  • Be able to lead and motivate groups, as well as work as part of a team
  • Flexibility, Poise, Enthusiasm, Collaborative attitude
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Sensitivity and understanding social nuance

Main duties and responsibilities; 

  • Supports the school in all areas of communication including public relations, marketing, branding, social media, digital, design, and crisis management
  • Is responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive and dynamic communications strategy that enhances the international reputation of Robert College and keeps all constituents informed and engaged
  • Acts as a public representative of the school with various media outlets, government officials, trustees, alumni, and parents as the need arises
  • Maintain relationships with members of the local, state, national, and international media outlets
  • Oversee production of all school print, digital, and video publications, photography, design, and visual identity
  • Manage the school’s communications calendar and creative style guide;
  • Oversee the social media strategy, policies, and channels as well as web presence, official accounts and affiliated, to create value-added content, promote RC’s story, and expand RC audience;
  • Manage the Digital Communications Manager and mentor the other Communications related teammates
  • Compile and analyze communications data and metrics to ensure effective messaging is being received
  • Support internal communications efforts such as intranet content management, policy, and handbook maintenance
  • Report to the Director of Institutional Advancement with direct accountability to Head of School and Turkish Director

DONOR RELATIONS COORDINATOR 

Job Requirements / Essential:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 10+ years of experience in a comparable field
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Turkish and English, including the ability to communicate clearly, directly, and empathetically in all interactions
  • Enthusiasm for fundraising and understanding of individual donor needs and perceptions
  • Competence in technology, social media, and computer skills
  • Understanding of database management, gift processing and donor relations
  • Planning & organizational skills with a collaborative attitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to deal with varied internal and external constituencies with diplomacy and tact
  • Flexibility - ability to manage diversity and adaptation skills
  • Ability to deliver in a timely manner, as well as allowing the necessary time for tasks
  • Being able to take direction and respond to feedback effectively
  • Strong team orientation and ability to work collaboratively
  • Ability to manage multi-tasks concurrently

  • Knowledge of applicable tax laws in US, UK, and Turkey
  • Knowledge of relevant Turkish (KVKK) and EU (GDPR) privacy laws

Main duties and responsibilities;  

  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward long-term relationships with major donors and their families, prospects, and alumni to be mutually beneficial
  • Write scholarship progress reports and liaise with scholarship donors regularly to keep them informed with general school updates and changes
  • Develop and implement recognition opportunities for donors at all levels
  • Manage the logistical planning of events such as, but not limited to, Homecoming, Annual Giving Campaign Kick-off Dinner, Meetball, class reunions, and scholarship & award presentations
  • Assist in the creation and execution of campaigns and significant celebrations; plan and execute large meetings and events that support and/or advance donor involvement, cultivation, and stewardship for major gifts (i.e. memorial services, galas)
  • Assist with projects as needed, such as hosting visitors and supporting volunteers
  • Report to the Director of Institutional Advancement

ENGLISH TEACHER

Robert College is seeking an outstanding candidate as “English Language and Literature Teacher” to join the preparatory program for the 2021-2022 academic year only.

Successful candidates must: 

  • Have at least a B.A. degree in English and a recognized teaching qualification to teach high school in English. (PCGE suffices for UK applicants.) Both the degree and teaching qualification are required for approval by the Turkish Ministry of Education.
  • Preferably have a minimum of five years of teaching experience in a comparable secondary level setting and have foundational familiarity with ELL skills and strategies.
  • Be committed to teaching a variety of learning styles and have an approach which enables students to develop their potential.
  • Be ready to play a full and active role in the continual development of high-quality teaching and learning.

Candidates should have:

  • B.A / B.S Degree; Master’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in college counseling or related field
  • An enthusiasm to work with students and their parents; a sincere, caring approach to guiding and advising students
  • A commitment to caring for student well-being in all its aspects
  • Initiative taking skills: including strong analytical thinking and problem-solving
  • An ability to collect and analyze data with various technology
  • A strong knowledge of college and university admissions abroad, particularly in North America, the UK, and Europe
  • A strong knowledge of the general requirements of universities abroad, including academic preparation and testing
  • An ability to work in office-oriented technology, and a flexible approach to learning about multiple application platforms
  • An enthusiasm for self-development and a growth-oriented mind-set
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English
  • Strong conflict management and adaptation skills
  • Strong team-oriented skills while also able to work well independently, with professional and personal integrity

 

The position mainly involves:

·     Serving as a college counselor for an assigned group of students and their parents to guide and advise them through the college application process abroad, primarily for study in North America, the UK, and Europe.

·     Taking the lead and/or assisting with the organization of college counseling programs and student meetings concerning study in the US, Canada, UK, Europe, etc. as needed.

·     Assisting with city-wide college fairs and hosting visits by university admission officers to RC.

·     Attending professional meetings in Turkey and abroad to stay abreast of admissions trends and opportunities.

·     Creating and maintaining relationships and staying in communication with multiple stake-holders including admission and college counseling colleagues.
